Trip To The Village

During the school holidays, Dayu, Udin, Siti, Lani, Beni, and Edo cycle in the rural area. They saw the large trees and the beautiful scenery, there are mahogany trees, tamarind trees, and mango trees. They meet with Mr. Jajak who is collecting dried leaves into a sack and will take him home.

Dayu: “What is the function of the leaves?”

Mr. Jajak: “it’s making compost, let’s go to the garden”

Mr. Jajak invites Dayu and friends to visit the garden, in the garden Mr. Jajak also kept a variety animals, such as hens, ducks, goats, and buffalo.

Mr. Jajak told that the leaves were mix of making compost.

How make a compost by mixing the dried leaves with the animal waste, then stacking them, and leaving them for 2 months and become compost.

Mr. Jajak: “Compost is preferred by farmers because it is cheap, easy to make and good for increasing crop yields.

When school holiday, Beni vacationed at grandfather’s house. Grandfather’s house on the mountain, the air is cool, and lots of green trees. Grandfather’s house is not wide but grandfather’s garden is very wide. Grandfather has a rambutan, mango, kelengkeng, and sapodilla tree. Grandfather planted the tree by himself, Beni was happy because it’s could feel the various fruits from grandfather’s garden.

Every Beni visits grandfather’s house, grandfather always plant a tree in the afternoon even though there are still many tress in the garden, grandfather explaines that never stop planting the trees, the trees planted now will not be enjoyed now. The benefit of the tree is giving oxygen to the environment, to help storing water in the soil, to feed a food, cooling the earth, and to prevent a global warming.

A human needs other energy source or alternative energy to fulfill their needs. Udin and friends are happy to see the cultural parade, The Indonesian culture is very diverse and impressive.

Udin and friends came to the square to watch the cultural parade. The Cultural parade is showing the diversity of Indonesian culture.

The first row of the Maluku region, the group was dressed in Cele clothes. Accompanied by Tifa sounds, the shape was like a slim and long drum.

The next group from Bali was accompanied by a musical instrument called Ceng –Ceng, musical instrument made of metal.

The third group from Toraja used traditional Pokko clothes and Sappa Talung Buku, it was accompanied by the Pa’pompang music which forms a large flute.
